It's been a while...

Moi pitkästä aikaa! Anteeksi ilmoittamattomasta tauosta, olin Suomessa 3 viikkoa ja ennen sitä tapahtui paljon kaikkea eikä ollut ollenkaan fiilistä postaamiseen, sitten mentiin viikoksi lomalle Derbyshireen ja olin täysin eristyksissä sosiaalisesta mediasta. Kummallista kyllä mulla oli jopa 2 postausta valmiina ennen taukoa, toinen oli tämä ja toisessa oli paljon kuvia kynsistä ja lakoista. Kynsi-innostus vähän laski kun pääsin Suomeen, sillä lentokentälle jäi about 20 kynsilakkaa, kaikki mun lemppareita, kun laukku ei kiireen takia ehtinytkään enää ruumaa. Syytän Ryanairin huonoja merkintöjä siitä, missä jonossa pitää seistä laukkunsa kanssa millekin lennolle. 

Nyt olen kuitenkin päässyt takaisin Englantiin ja Cambridgeen ilman sen kummempia kommelluksia Suomen päässä (Pirkkalan lentokenttä, eh...) ja olen taas postausfiiliksissä. Työnhaku alkaa täydellä teholla huomenna ja peukut pystyyn että nyt tärppää, mahdollisuudet on kyllä paremmat koska opiskelijat lähtee ympäri maata kouluihinsa eikä enää kilpailuta mun vaatimatonta CV:tä. Mulla odottaa muistikortilla parisentuhatta luontokuvaa, Suomesta ja Derbyshirestä. Jos tässä saan niistä valittua parhaimmat palat niin tiedossa olis pari postausta luontokuvia ja sitten taas siihen tavalliseen kynnet-Johanna-taidekuva -linjalle, mitäs sanotte? :-D Oon kiitollinen kaikille lukijoilla jotka ei lopettanu seuraamistaan tän tauon aikana, ja en syytä teitä vaikka oisittekin unohtanu tän blogin hetkeksi, mäkin unohdin. :-) Huomiseen taikka ylihuomiseen! xx

+ Hey everybody! After such a while I'm back in business. I'm truly sorry for not announcing a break, I was in Finland for 3 weeks and after that on a holiday in Derbyshire for a week, and pretty much socially isolated. Now I'm in Cambridge again, and looking for a job starting from tomorrow.

Surprisingly, I had even two posts done before I left my blog untouchable for weeks, and these pictures were in one of them. The other one was just a load of pictures of my nails, but unfortunately my eager to do nail art was decreased drastically by Stansted Airport. On my way to Finland, standing in a wrong line for too long, I rushed to the fast lane and got told that it was too late for my luggage to get in, unless I paid £50 and they took it inside of the plane. I had to remove all the liquids under 100ml and didn't realise the limit of 1 litre, so I lost approximately 20 nail polishes, all my favourites.

Apart from that, I'm willing to do my nails again since I got back to Boots and Superdrug and filled my collection up a bit. I've got about a couple of thousands of nature pictures both from Finland and Derbyshire, which I will probably fit in two separate posts. In that case, you will get two sets of nature pictures and then the usual nails-Johanna-randompictures -style, how does that sound? I'm very thankful to all the followers who didn't unfollow and I don't blame you if you forgot my blog for a moment, so did I. Catching up in  a day or two, take care! xx

Colour blocking tutorial: red and sparkly

First of all, choose the nail polishes you want to use.
/ Ihan ensimmäiseksi valitse kynsilakat joita haluat käyttää.

Step 1: Paint all the nails with the colours you want to the middle. 

/ Lakkaa kynnet värillä jonka haluat keskelle.

Step 2: Apply one coat of (fast dry) top coat to make sure the tape won't smudge the polish. 

/ Laita (pikakuivattavaa) päällyslakkaa varmistaaksesi ettei teippi sotke lakkaa.

Step 3: Cut the tape in to pieces and stick them carefully in the middle of every nail the way you like. It may be useful to put the bit of tape on your skin first to get the most of the glue off so that most of it won't stick to the nail when you remove the tape. 

/ Leikkaa teipistä palasia ja asettele ne huolella haluamallasi tavalla kynsille. Kannattaa asettaa teippi ensin iholle että suurin osa liimasta ei jää kynnelle teipit poistettaessa.

Step 4: Paint the bits on the both side of the nails with different colours/ shades and let it dry properly. 

/ Lakkaa teipin erottamat molemmat puolet eri väreillä/ sävyillä ja anna kuivua kunnolla.

Step 5: Take the tape off when the polish is properly dry and if bits of the tape glue remain on your nails you can wipe it off with fingers - that's what I did. 

/ Ota teipit pois kun lakka on kuivunut kunnolla ja jos liimaa jää kynnelle sen voi pyyhkiä pois sormella.

Step 6: Apply one or two coats of (fast dry) top coat and that's it! 

/ Laita yksi tai kaksi kerrosta (pikakuivattavaa) päällyslakkaa ja valmista tuli! :-)

A lovely meeting in London

Seeing after 10 months feels amazing and we all know so many things have happened but when we're together again it seems that we weren't even ever apart. I'm already looking forward to Celine's next visit in 4 months. Love you both to bits. <3

They've got fancy cars and limos and Cinderella horse carriages and fancy dresses and then they go in to school and have a party and then after party and that's it. They said it was a lot of fun. :-)
